Every visitor must be in possession of a valid ticket with a time slot. This enables us to prevent the museum becoming crowded. Tickets are only sold online through this website. Plan your visit in advance and order a ticket online.
Perhaps you have a discount pass. Even then you need to order a ticket online to visit Teylers Museum. Don’t forget to take your discount pass with you and show it together with your ticket when you visit the museum. Both will be checked at the entrance.
Yes, because everyone has to have a time slot. Even if you have a card or pass entitling you to admission free of charge (e.g. BankGiroLoterij VIP-kaart, Vrienden van Teylers Museum-pas). Please order a ticket in advance. Bring your valid pass with you to the museum together with your ticket. They will both be checked at the entrance.

Your ticket is only valid at the chosen time slot. You are welcome to arrive from the time given on your ticket until 30 minutes later. For instance, if you have chosen the time slot 11:00, we will expect you between 11:00 and 11.30. So it is not necessary to arrive at the exact moment on your ticket: in fact, it is actually better if visitors straddle their arrival times as much as possible during the half-hour period.

Yes, but you will still need to reserve a time slot. On the website, at the first stage of booking a ticket, choose the option at the bottom “I already have a ticket/voucher” and reserve a time slot. Don’t forget to take both tickets with you when you go to the museum. Use the same procedure if you have a Vrijkaart Scholenproject.
John Constable is an exceptional exhibition with many special international loans. This entails additional costs - certainly in this day and age. That is why we ask the visitors for a small surcharge.
The Museum Association has produced a detailed protocol for museums, based on the measures announced by the Netherlands National Institute for Public Health and the Environment (RIVM) and the government. Museum visits have been brought into line with these safety standards. The most important measures are as follows:
Go to our website to read all the measures.
Teylers Museum is open from Monday to Sunday from 10:00 a.m. to 5 p.m. and on public holidays from 11:00 a.m. to 5 p.m.
There will be no guided tours for the time being. The Lorentz Formula (in Dutch) has been brought into line with the safety standards.
Certainly: all the rooms are accessible to wheelchair users. Visitors who are unable to move around the museum unaided are permitted to bring one person to accompany them free of charge.
There is a disabled parking spot in front of the museum, although we are unable to guarantee that it is always available. The car park De Appelaar, close to the museum, has disabled parking spaces.
Two manual wheelchairs are available in the museum. Motorised wheelchairs are subject to special rules: it is mandatory to proceed at walking pace.
We regret that wheelchairs with an internal combustion engine cannot be admitted to the museum.
